Reading this page

These terms set out the conditions for using sleeprecoverybalance.site and the guidance published on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The page below explains what the site is for, the limits of what it offers, how consultations work if you arrange one, and what we expect from anyone reading or republishing the material. It also lists where to write with questions and which related documents sit alongside it.

Purpose of the site

What the site publishes and what it does not provide

The site publishes educational information about nutrition, sleep, fatigue, longevity and everyday body care for adults in the United Kingdom. Articles, guides and reference pages are written to help you understand general patterns, compare everyday habits and prepare better questions for the people who look after your health.

It is not a clinical service, and it does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions. Nothing published here is tailored to your medical history, your medication or your test results, because we have not seen them.

What the site is
  • General information for adults in the UK to read and compare
  • Written material only, with no diagnosis or prescribing
  • An independent site, not an NHS service or a GP surgery
What it is not
  • A replacement for your GP or another qualified professional
  • An emergency or urgent-care route of any kind
  • Personal clinical advice sent to you as a diagnosis

No medical advice, and no reason to delay care

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and it does not replace consultation with your GP or another qualified professional. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you have read here. If you have a symptom that concerns you, contact your GP or NHS 111.

That applies to every page on the site, including the ones that describe everyday habits in a lot of detail. Detail is not the same as guidance written for you.

  1. Step one

    Notice the symptom first

If something has changed and worries you — pain, unusual tiredness, breathlessness, a lump, a change in appetite or weight — that is a clinical question, not a reading question. It belongs with a professional, early.

  2. Step two

Book with your GP, or call NHS 111

Your GP has your history and can examine you. NHS 111 can tell you where to go when it is outside surgery hours. Neither route runs through this website.

  3. Step three

    In an emergency, call 999

Do not wait for an answer from this site. There is no monitoring of messages here, and nothing published on these pages is written for an urgent situation.

  4. Step four

Bring what you read with you

If a page here helped you frame a question, take that question to your appointment. That is the most useful thing this site can do for your care.

Consultations

Where a consultation sits in your care

A consultation, where arranged, provides general nutrition and lifestyle guidance based on the information you supply. A dietitian or nutrition professional reads what you describe, asks follow-up questions, and sets out general habits for eating, sleep and recovery. It is a conversation about patterns, not an examination or a diagnosis.

It does not create a doctor-patient relationship and does not replace clinical care. You are responsible for discussing any change with your GP or pharmacist, particularly if you take medication or have a diagnosed condition. Supplements, meal timing and changes to what you eat can interact with prescriptions, so the person who knows your prescriptions should hear about them first.

A consultation can
  • Explain general patterns in nutrition and sleep for adults
  • Help you build a routine you can actually keep
  • Suggest questions worth raising with your GP
A consultation cannot
  • Diagnose a condition or rule one out
  • Prescribe, adjust or stop medication
  • Replace blood tests or clinical follow-up

  • Read, print or save pages for yourself Personal use, including sharing a link with a friend or bringing a page to an appointment, is fine.
  • Quote briefly with a link back A short quotation with a visible link to the original page is welcome, as long as it is not presented as advice written for your reader.
  • Do not republish whole pages or use them commercially Copying articles, guides or reference pages into another site, newsletter or product without written permission is not allowed.
  • Do not attempt to break or overload the site Unauthorised access attempts, automated flooding and anything that degrades the site for other readers will lead to access being suspended.
Accuracy and changes

Keeping the pages current, and revising these terms

We aim to keep the content accurate and current, and we review it periodically. Pages are revisited as our understanding and the wider evidence develop, and older articles are sometimes rewritten rather than extended.

Information may change without notice, and we do not warrant that every page is free of error or always up to date. If you spot something that looks out of date, tell us and we will look at it.

These terms may be revised; the current version is the one published here. The date below records when this version took effect.

Common questions

What readers usually ask about these terms

Does reading this site create a professional relationship?

No. Reading pages here, or emailing a question about these terms, does not make anyone at Sleep Recovery Balance your clinician. A consultation, where arranged, gives general nutrition and lifestyle guidance based on what you describe, and it does not replace clinical care from your GP.

Can I republish an article on my own website or newsletter?

Not in full. Content is provided for personal, non-commercial use, so a short quotation with a visible link back to the original page is welcome, while copying entire articles, guides or reference pages needs written permission first. Write to us and describe how you want to use the material.

Does a consultation replace what my GP does?

It does not. A consultation covers general patterns in eating, sleep and recovery, and helps you prepare better questions. Diagnosis, tests, prescriptions and any change to medication stay with your GP, pharmacist or specialist team, and you are responsible for raising any planned change with them.

What if a page becomes out of date?

We review the material periodically, but information may change without notice and we do not warrant that every page is free of error or always current. If you spot something that looks stale or unclear, email us with the page address and what you noticed, and we will take a look.

How will I know if these terms change?

These terms may be revised, and the current version is the one published on this page. The effective date shown in the accuracy section is updated whenever the wording changes, so you can always check which version applies to you.
